Another Beautiful review from Softsynth
"Few bands in the world make music that could be described as “beautiful” as Collide. Sweeping synths, gorgeous vocals, the word “big” keeps rising up. There is beauty and grace in almost every utterance from this band."

Lithium Magazine reviews Counting to Zero
Thanks to longtime supporter Mike Bax for this review from Lithium Magazine.
"...intricate soundscapes sculpted by electronic maestro Statik. Statik's electronics, married with kaRIN's dreamy vocals, create a sound that is reminiscent of the better material from the Bristol movement a few years back, but with an ever-present edge towards darkwave."

Grave Concerns reviews Counting to Zero
Thanks to Jules Cohen from Grave Concerns for this review on Counting to Zero.
""Bending and Floating" starts the party and kaRIN never sounded better..."

Riding the peak with Morpheus Music
Thanks to Paul for this wonderful review of Counting to Zero on Morpheus Music.
"Counting to Zero sees Collide doing all that they do best with even more class and finesse....kaRIN's distinctive voice and siren-song approach unites the songs, but there is a powerful unity of vision also in Statik's filmic-cyber-grunge sonic diversity. Interweaving the harshness of noise and distortion with musical grace and saturated colour, the beauty and passion of unique song: Collide are riding the peak of their wave. "
Vampires in the Sunburnt Country reviews Counting to Zero
Thanks to Jason Nahrung for this great new review of Counting to Zero
“American duo Collide remind me a little of Massive Attack, but the midnight version...Counting to Zero is on high rotation, and their electro cruise is so smooth – find a place under the lasers in the fog and let your slo-mo bat-catching go wild.”
There are shards of Vangelis, Goldfrapp, John Foxx, Portishead … some Middle Eastern notes, too. The album is both perfect mood music for a chill-out as well as a funky stereo-sound experience.
Brutal Resonance CTZ review
Thanks to Peter Marks from Brutal Resonance for another review on Counting to Zero. some of our favorite review snippits..."(kaRIN's vocals are) like a mercurial stream of glimmering diamonds...No seriously, shut your mouth and listen."
“Be prepared to drop the tempo and soak in a luxurious mixture of atmospheres, guitars, loops, and that voice. Oh that voice. This release has the same tactile sense of smoke languidly curling up into the still air from a 30s movie starlet lounging about at some off the strip bar waiting for a moment's peace from the chaos of public life. You sit and watch it rise and as it merges with the surroundings, there is a sense of beautiful symmetry which cuts through the haze: you have been here before but it is never the same and it never will be.
Many times on here, the backdrop of Statik's arrangements are drawn back to the barest hints of a song in order to let kaRIN's vocals shine through and shine they do. Like a mercurial stream of glimmering diamonds caught by the prospecter's eye amidst all the dust and dirt, she speaks and sings in ways I had not expected.

I Die You Die Counting to Zero review
Thanks to Bruce for a very cool new review on Counting to Zero.
“In the Autumn a paler rose blooms on the wood’d lee side; In the Autumn a young man’s fancy darkly turns to thoughts of Collide.”

Counting to Zero release day
Today is the official day that Counting to Zero is released!!!!
We are soooo excited!!!
This is now our 7th studio full-length album (including The Secret Meeting) and it feels like quite a milestone for us. We have been making music for 15 years now, and we have seen a lot of changes go on in the music industry.
We are as passionate and caring about making music now as when we started. As many of you know, we are a completely self-run entity...we make the music, we produce it, we do the artwork, we pack the orders, we ship the orders, we pay for it, and so on, and so on. It is a labor of love from start to finish, and every detail is important to us. It is a lot of work running your own record label while also being the artists, but for us, it is worth it, as we can always be sure that it is completely our vision.
We would like to take a moment to let you know how much we appreciate you taking this journey with us!!! You inspire us.
We are very thankful that you have helped to make it possible for us to continue making music, and for that you have our eternal appreciation.
Statik Day
Sept 27th is such an important day, not only is it the release of our new CD, it is also...
Statik's Birthday....woooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo!!!
Please join us on our Facebook page and say hellooooooooo, say happy birthday and let us know what you think about the new CD.
It really means a lot to us to hear from you
Mind Games video
We have just now posted a full-length video for "Mind Games", one of the new songs from Counting to Zero.
It was directed by the talented (and slightly crazy) Kevin McVey who also directed our last two videos as well as our live DVD. It was edited by longtime Collide collaborator Dave Keffer of KEFSKI creative services.
Shooting the video was the most gruelling day ever. It was shot in the desert in California in the middle of a heat wave. Pay close attention near the beginning where you see the dust devil. It hit us early in the day straight on, and slightly damaged some of our equipment, making a hard day almost impossible.
Anyway, we have it posted up here. We hope you enjoy!!
Loose Morals Interview
Phil from Loose Morals just posted an interview that we did recently. Check it out here!
Fringe Promo
If anyone has noticed during the last month (and during the Emmy's), some of the promos for the new season of the Fox program Fringe have been using the song "Am I Here" from our Secret Meeting project. We're were very excited about it, and hopefully it helped us to find some new listeners.
Someone posted one of the promos on YouTube here, if you want to check it out.
We hope to continue with The Secret Meeting, and (if the stars line up) hope to begin work on a new album this year.
"In the Frequency" - Counting to Zero preview
Here is a link to a teaser preview that we posted on our YouTube channel for one of the songs off of Counting to Zero called "In the Frequency" thanks so much to Edward Mavskegg who put it together.
We're robots!! Check it out! Love, Collide
Underworld Soundtrack
The people putting together the soundtrack for the next Underworld movie have a poll going on Facebook to vote for the band (s) that should be included on it. We hate to ask, (but we really love Underworld)...and it is really easy if you could possibly send a vote our way.
